HELEN HANDELMAN
Helen is a writer and freelance editor/book assistant based in Asheville, North Carolina.
She works with authors on books approaching publication, doing image clearances, research,
fact-checking, endnotes, and copy-editing.
Helen recently worked on books by Lauren Collins,
Zayd Ayers Dohrn, Victoria Johnson, and Katrina Manson. Before that, she worked for several years with John Seabrook.
As a writer/director, she's made three short films:
two of us, NEPO BABY, and Olive & Lynn.
Helen graduated with honors from
Wesleyan University in 2016.
