Helen is a writer and freelance editor/book assistant based in Asheville, North Carolina.

She works with authors on books approaching publication, doing image clearances, research,

fact-checking, endnotes, and copy-editing.

Helen recently worked on published books by Zayd Ayers Dohrn, Katrina Manson, and Victoria Johnson. She also worked on a forthcoming book by Lauren Collins. Before that, she worked for several years with John Seabrook.

As a writer/director, she's made three short films:
