Helen is a writer and freelance editor/book assistant based in Asheville, North Carolina.

She works with authors on books approaching publication, doing image clearances, research,

fact-checking, endnotes, and copy-editing.

Helen recently worked on forthcoming books by Zayd Ayers Dohrn, Katrina Manson, Lauren Collins, and Victoria Johnson. Before that, she worked for several years with John Seabrook on The Spinach King.

As a writer/director, she's made three short films:

In 2016, Helen graduated with honors from Wesleyan University, where she studied Theater and Religion - and wrote a thesis about the moon.
